Senior Inventory & Financial Data Specialist

Purpose

The incumbent will ensure data accuracy, integrity, and readiness to support digitalization and the adoption of next-generation finance technologies. The Master Data & Finance Systems Executive will manage financial master data across multiple systems, drive process improvements, and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to enable efficient, technology-driven finance operations.

Key Accountabilities

Operational

  • Lead the creation, maintenance, and governance of master data across all financial systems (cost centers, GL accounts, profit centers, inventory codes, product codes, brands, customer and vendor databases, etc.).
  • Ensure standardized data structures that enable digital transformation, system integration, and advanced reporting.
  • Manage interface table mappings to support data flows between legacy systems and new platforms.
  • Establish controls and processes to ensure ongoing master data integrity and accuracy.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve master data issues to reduce system errors and avoid reconciliation gaps.
  • Act as custodian of finance system master data, ensuring alignment with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Line Manager

 

System Integration & Technology Enablement

  • Support the finance transformation roadmap by preparing and maintaining high-quality data sets required for the adoption of new ERP, reporting, and analytical tools.
  • Collaborate with IT and transformation teams to define master data structures and protocols in new POS, inventory, and finance platforms (e.g., SAP Retail, CEGID) to ensure to have unified master data in all systems.
  • Contribute to process automation, data integration, and the development of reporting dashboards using technologies such as SAP, Power BI, JEDOX, and KYRIBA.

Key Accountabilities (Continued)

Financial System Reconciliations & Process Management

  • Perform end-to-end system reconciliations across inventory, COGS, purchases, and revenue and liaise with relevant company stakeholders to resolve.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring data integrity across finance systems.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and collaborate with IT and operations teams to streamline data flows and reconciliation processes.
  • Support external auditors with system reconciliations and master data reports during audits and year-end closing.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards.

  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, CEGID, or equivalent), reporting tools (Power BI, JEDOX), and treasury platforms (KYRIBA) is preferred
  • Good understanding of finance operations, accounting processes, and retail business models.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally between finance, IT, and business teams.

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.

 

Previous Experience:

  • 3-5 years job related experience
  • 4+ years of experience in master data management, financial systems and finance operations
